Analysis of DigiPak

The digipak shows the front cover, the back cover and the CD design. The Digi-Pak is dark, a metal background has been used, this is to represent a modern feel to it, also the mesh background is used to represent a cage almost, this emplify an underground status, which is common of the Dubstep genre.

The Digi-Pak has been kept simplistic, it has the Ministry of Sound logo and the name of the album on the front. The same colours have been used throughout the Digi-Pak, black, silver and red. These three are the most commonly used colours. Black represents the darkness of the genre, for example the underground side of the genre. The silver is used as it stands out over the black and also further represents a cage. Red represents danger, which is another dark side of the genre. The CD is made for a variety of artists, therefore there is no representation in particular to represent one artist, this is why the cover is kept quite simplistic and broad.

In summary, the artwork and colours of the Digi-Pak emplify what the genre stands for. This consequently draws in the target audience that the Digi-Pak is aimed at. We are aiming to do this in the Digi-Pak we create.
